People in Motion (PiM) Privacy Policy

PiM are a not for profit voluntary organisation primarily supporting refugees by collecting aid from Herefordshire & Worcestershire

 

PiM collects the personal data of their supporters, which has been provided to us either in person (for example at an event, or whilst volunteering) or electronically via email, Facebook and Instagram.

The personal data (data that can be linked to an identifiable person), which has been collected is:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

Supporters can ask what data is stored about them or ask to be removed from the database by emailing peopleinmotion15@gmail.com

PiM will only retain supporters’ data for as long as it remains in operation, in order that it can send emails.

To comply with GDPR, PiM must get the consent of volunteers and supporters to use their email addresses. This consent must be explicit and verifiable.

  • Verifiable consent requires a written record of when and how someone agreed to let you process their personal data.

  • Explicit consent requires that each contact takes an action to consent

Information is not shared with anyone beyond People in Motion Trustees and Core Volunteer Team. 

How do we keep the information safe?

PiM rely on Gmail, Wix and Mailchimp to follow secure, industry standard rigorous processes. Any paper data will be stored in a lockable filing cabinet and in line with our data protection policy. 

How long will PiM keep this data?

For as long as PiM exists and sends emails to its supporters.

 

How they can get this data removed, if they so wish?
